This Week at Trinity, Beamsville
Friday, May 28, 2021
Dear Friends,
This week’s message is coming to you with a very different purpose, even as it’s exactly the same as every week of the year. To explain:
As you’ve likely heard and read a few times already, this is the Sunday that we’re letting the camera and sanctuary go quiet here at Trinity, Beamsville. With me finishing up Study Leave (off to Regional Council I go, virtually, starting yesterday/Thursday evening), and with a break long overdue for the entire worship team, all at once, we’re inviting you to connect this Sunday, May 30th with somewhere other than this community of worship. A list of some suggested links is below, but of course you are welcome to ‘travel’ far and wide to experience the gift of Christian worship in lots of different contexts.
That’s the different part of today – but the part that’s exactly the same is the invitation and encouragement to rest in the peace of Christian community; to know that, no matter where you are and how you get there, with whatever you’re carrying at any given moment in time, you are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. Past and present siblings in faith are with you on this journey, looking for your presence, wisdom, and Jesus-inspired love.
So, while this Sunday’s quiet space from 4287 William Street started as a gift to the worship leaders here, somehow it’s become a gift for all of us, together. Funny how things tend to work out that way…
We’ll see you again on Sunday, June 6th – ready to celebrate Union Sunday and the 96th birthday of The United Church of Canada. We’re on the cusp of another season of bounty and joy. Can’t wait to share it with you all.
See you soon, and happy travels!
With love to you all,
Heather
