Hello everyone!
For the next 2 weeks, we won’t be able to read a “This Week” from Rev. Heather. As you are aware she will be off touring with the Burlington Teen Tour Band. I send her love and blessings with this email and we can all look forward to reading something when she returns.
This past week started off really, really hard. We had a memorial service here for someone whose life had really only just begun. I found myself thinking of my own children and really related to how quickly life can change and how much we all take for granted every day. Sometimes it sounds cliché to say “count your blessings”, but I have really taken this to heart and count my blessings everyday.
At the Szabo house, we have been dealing with spring cold’s, “the man cold” – which is far worse than the ordinary spring cold apparently! and wet, soggy yards and dogs. I am really hoping that my grandmother was correct in her “40 days of rain” superstition because that means that maybe I can finally get the wet dog smell out of our “mud room”! At home, the gardens have all been weeded and new mulch added – I do not have a green thumb at all, so mulch and lots of flowering shrubs are my friend! Here at Trinity, we have a great group of people who work very hard to make this place look as warm and welcoming on the outside as it is on the inside. There are some great plans in the works for our outside spaces and I can’t wait to see them all come to fruition. If you get a minute, please thank all of the people that are on our Property Committee this weekend, they have really stepped up and filled in to keep this “home” looking great!
Coming up on Saturday is a Garage Sale here from 8-1, and we are starting a new adventure at the Farmers Market in town so take a few minutes out of your weekend and come to the Garage Sale to look for a bargain and then head to the Farmer’s Market and help us support Community Care. Next week a lot of groups are having their “last meet before summer” meetings. Things are winding down so hopefully that means the summer weather will be here soon J. As always, Trinity United Beamsville is a vibrant and busy place and I am blessed to be a small part of it all.
I am heading to my cottage for a few days of relaxation, but I wish everyone success on Saturday.
Enjoy your weekend!
