Her Home is a Tent is a project with four goals:

1. Shine a massive spotlight on poverty and homelessness in Lincoln, and, the rest of Ontario
2. Inform government(s) of the increased and uncontrollable need for basic life-assistance, through a petition, email, and letter-writing campaigns
3. Host a public panel discussion with Lincoln stakeholders and government representatives aimed to publicly recognize the need for increased assistance.  Follow up regularly for solution planning.
4. Create a team, and, find funding, for providing a monthly restaurant-style, sit-down dinner, to be set up in partnership with local agencies, grocery stores and churches.  Social services and assistance would be available for those who require these.

• Sign our petition – email a politician – write a letter – see below for links
• Engage friends and family in conversation about poverty and homelessness
• Attend the Panel Discussion on Tuesday, December 3, 7:30pm, Fleming Centre, Beamsville
• Continue after the event to educate friends; inform politicians and push to make change
